Mid-70s Era Oval Snowmobile Racers

The change from racing on snow to racing on ice changed the mid-70s race sleds. Race sleds of that era were similar to consumer performance sleds and the consumers benefited from the race track technology. Racing on ice did create a sled that was not trail friendly, and that continued as ice racers became more specialized in their race application.
